This course provides staff and carers with knowledge of anaphylaxis to enable them to maintain a safe and healthy environment in which a person at risk of anaphylaxis can participate equally in all aspects of the workplace and recreational activities, including children’s services programs and schools.
Content
- Raise awareness about allergies and anaphylaxis to ensure the safety and wellbeing of a person at risk of anaphylaxis.
- Assess risks, develop risk minimisation strategies and management strategies for an individual person with anaphylaxis
- Current information of allergies, anaphylaxis and emergency procedures

- Recognition of allergy and anaphylaxis – Scenario tested competency
- Administer an EpiPen / Anapen – Scenario tested competency
